The Buteyn Story
Since 1953, Buteyn Excavating and Grading has been serving the communities of Wisconsin with civil engineering projects and site construction. James Peterson Sons Inc. acquired Buteyn Excavating and Grading in 1999, becoming Buteyn-Peterson Construction. Buteyn-Peterson Construction continues to provide proven high-quality workmanship and customer service.
Successful projects require more than just getting the job done. Environmental risks and government regulations command project authority. These demands are routinely met and exceeded by Buteyn-Peterson Construction.
Our highly trained and safety compliant personnel includes Operating Engineers, Teamsters, Laborers, Mechanics, Project Supervisors, and Civil Engineers. The BPC team excels in leadership, workmanship, integrity, cooperation, and timeliness, and meets and exceeds customer expectations safely and efficiently.

Our spirit of cooperation, quality workmanship and timely execution of projects may be verified by consulting engineers, private citizens, and state agencies. Our companies employ over 200 people including operating engineers, teamsters, laborers, mechanics, project supervisors, engineers, and office staff. Our companies operate a complete line of excavating and hauling equipment which includes bulldozers, scrapers, motor graders, backhoes, loaders, compaction equipment, dump trucks and a complete spread of rock crushing and screening equipment. In addition, we own over twenty-five gravel pits. Our equipment is up to date and fully maintained with portable field maintenance facilities to produce on-time completion of projects.
